Esa reassessment support group

Hello I’m in the support group and was placed here last November December following a reassessment but paper based.
i was told the review would be 12 months, although I’m aware it can be anything from 3 months onwards.
My question is as my 12 months is now, are reassessments taking place at all?

I believe at the moment very limited telephone re assessments have started to take place.
You can't be found fit for work via phone, if a decision can't be made to award SG again you are placed back into the queue for when face to face re assessments resume, with no change in payment.

Support Group is an ongoing award unless you're found fit for work. Backlogs are most likely huge too so for now i wouldn't worry too much.
  • When do you think I would be sent a reassessment form?
Is anyone else due and had the form sent yet?

That's like asking "how long is a piece of string" There has been people that have received the form.

friend moved from wrag to support group is it always a good idea to request a copy of the assessment, which was by phone, and also how points were allocated,.   also does being in the support group mean not being able to do anything to improve without having a reassessment?

Starting your own thread would have been better. Asking questions on other peoples thread causes confusion.
Being in the Support Group means you don't have to attend any appointments. It doesn't mean you won't be reassessed in the future. Only those placed into the severe conditions group will have no further assessments, if their conditions remain the same. If you're placed into this group then it will tell you no further assessments are needed. Otherwise reviews can take place anytime from 3 months, under normal circumstances. https://www.disabilityrightsuk.org/news/2017/october/guidance-work-capability-assessment-reassessment-published

  • Has anyone been due for a reassessment between June 2020 and now in the support group and had an esa50 through?

Your question was answered on your other thread here https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6211086/esa-reassessment#latest
I'm not even sure why you're asking the same question again when it's only less than a week since you last asked. Backlogs are very likely huge because of Covid.
You're in the Support Group which is an ongoing award until the decision is made on your next review. Nothing more you can do other than wait.

I'm in the Support Group and was due for reassessment last month.
Previously I've had the forms around 2 months before review date, nothing yet.

The backlog of ESA reassessments is currently in the range of hundreds of thousands. Given that the Covid situation is likely to last for some considerable time I imagine that the DWP may soon start to do what happened in 2014 when ATOS exited their contract to undertake Work Capability Assessments - many people had their WCA date advanced by a year or even two.
