Consumer rights for internet purchase possibly from US

I recently (foolishly) bought some clothes from a company called riccka.com
When received the fabric was horrible and cheap, so I requested to return the items for a refund.  This was their response...
Dear customer:
Hello, we have checked the photos. The photos you provided did not show quality issues, such as holes, stains, etc. We cannot refund for non-quality issues. We are really sorry that you are not satisfied with the good. If our products have quality problems, we will accept the return request. Please allow a little color, material and size difference, it is inevitable. Thank you for your understanding.
Anything we can do for you, Please feel free to contact us via riccka.inc@gmail.com
Best regards

I have since emailed them three times contesting this and not had a single reply back.  It says on the website they are based in the US, but the parcel cam from ECX UK, Abbeygate House, Challenge Road, Ashford, Middlesex. TW15 1AX

So I'm not sure where I stand with this... would normal uk consumer rights apply?  I wonder if anyone could help how I could proceed with this?
Any help would be gratefully received.
Many thanks Emma

    According to their T&Cs...
These Terms of Service and any separate agreements whereby we provide you Services shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the UK.

The "inc" in their email address would imply a US entity, as it says in the About Us, but their terms says otherwise. In several places it also has:

    ZOVIAS LIMITED
Fifth Floor, 3 Gower Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1E 6HA

Look up that company and it has a single director who lives in China.

So, according to the site the contract was made under "UK law" (which doesnt exist but lets read it as England & Wales) and so you have a statutory right of return. The reality is this is a far east company and the probability of getting monies back from them are fairly slim.

How did you pay? What sort of prices were the items?

    Another drop shipper.

Riccka.com did not exist until 2015, we have been playing the role as a manufacturer as well as a supplier ever since.
Riccka.com is a registered business entity based in United States and it has their own logistics center located in Singapore. While most of the Internet-based fashion retailers usually put their logistics center in North America, we prefer Singapore because of its world-class delivery capability and capacity. Moreover, since most of our factories are located in Asia, the choice of Singapore helps to cut down the cost on delivery for our customers.

Yet use a gmail email address...

Looks like a dropshipper for stuff off Aliexpress. Might be genuinely American or could be someone's who's lived in the US in the past and has good English language skills.
