EAs listing properties that are supposed to have sold?

Ours was only listed as SSTC once we had proved our funds to the agent and they had been able to confirm the purchase with our solicitor. Luckily that only took us a couple of days but we had asked to see properties prior to having our offer accepted on this one and were told the same thing, and some of them took weeks to show as SSTC. I was told by the EA selling ours that Rightmove won’t let them mark as sold until they’ve added proof of funds and solicitor details.
I had the opposite. I put an offer in on the Monday, sent the proof of funds that afternoon and by Tuesday it was shown as SSTC across all platforms.

classic bait and switch as well. Sadly not much you can do
Serious buyers will already be registered with EA's. Not waiting until a property appears on Rightmove.
I would never register with an EA. Don’t know why you would. I did it on e years ago.  You don’t get to hear about houses earlier than anyone else but do get a load of information about houses you’re not interested in.
