  • Good grief!!
When your LL said your next rent was due November didn't you ask why and remind them that you have already paid for Oct and Nov, and therefore you thought it would be due 23 Dec?
Ask that question and see what they say. That will surely provide the answer?

That's pointless! Clearly the LL wants rent to always be 2 months ahead as opposed the the more normal one month in advance.
Whether that 2nd month's payment covers a month consecutive to the previous one (ie payment on 23 Oct covers 23/10 - 22/12), or covers the final month (ie payment on 23 Oct covers 23/10 - 22/11 and 23/3 - 22/4) is really just semantics. Provided the tenant pays each month, and stops paying 2 months before the tenancy ends, there will be no arrears and no over-payment.

I would say nothing right now and wait and see if the LL registers the deposit within 30 days.
Check with the various deposit schemes at the very end of November to see if the deposit has been registered.
Again don't say a word if the LL has failed to do this.
You should receive the deposit registration certificate and prescribed information by email or post or both
Have you got a Gas Safe Certificate ? an EICR to say the electrics are safe ?
Did the LL or LA carry out a inventory which you have seen and signed ?
I agree I'm trying not to bother her this month and wait and see whats going on.
Haven't received a registration certificate yet about my deposit. I didn't get a gas safe certificate or EICR or a inventory either.
