Nice to see the chat, I love reading through. I dont get online all the time (live rurally so the Internet is pants and decides to just give up of there is too many using it!! We haven't long got WiFi from being dialup!)
Anyway, several pottings this week. More from luck than anything else due to this lockdown and not shopping in any shops at all therefore not getting any change. Managed to find several coins doing some cleaning - behind the wall unit (don't ask me how money got there!), under the sofa cushions, in the car and the biggest bonus- found a purse i lost in either 2017 or 2018 (cancelled my cards etc as I'd looked everywhere!) ... it was in an old, unused seed box in the greenhouse! Now this is a complete mystery!! On the plus side, it means I managed to pot £56 something as that was in the purse! So I'd say since SP14 started I've probably scrambled around about £75! Feeling pleased.
Hope you're all well. Feeling colder here the last couple of days so have turned my heating up a degree - except all I can think about is how much its costing me
A very Good Afternoon SPCers! I hope you all have a really great day, evening too.
TAKE CARE & STAY HEALTHY EVERYONE!!
For
all those of you who are either poorly or feeling low or miserable in
any way, our very best wishes that you'll soon be feeling very much
better.
Good for you, Pinkwhisk!! It's good to know we will hear from you
regularly. 😊 Thanks so very much for putting your No on your siggy.
Hi 32b3! That's a lovely welcome to our latest members, old ones
too. Good potting...and one less £2 coin for jakes-mum!! 😂
It's so good to see you, Franlow01, hopefully it won't be too long
before you're able to be with us more often. Meanwhile, it's so good to hear
from you when you're able! 🤩 I well remember the old dialup method. 🤔
Brilliant news about finding the long forgotten purse, excellent!! Who'd
have believed it. Very well done with all you've potted!! 🥰 Take care of yourself, and although it's expensive, keep yourself warm! See
you soon!

Have a WONDERFUL FRIDAY folks, enjoy yourselves saving
NB folks: Opening date for SPC 14 is 28th
October 2021.
Anyone wishing to join us, it's NEVER too late!
So please just ask and you will be made very welcome.
Hi Sue and fellow potters (waves in a friendly manner!) Yes, please, I would love to have no 012 and have updated my siggy accordingly AND I'm happy to report that I am on my way with SPC 14 with £5.22 from a cashback site...yay! A big welcome to all new potters too x
Wow Franlow01 what a result that was. I did once lose a wallet and find it a long time later after cancelling cards. £75 odd already - that’s a winning start. I did turn down 10p roadkill earlier, as someone had spat on the pavement near to it. Sue - I was wondering when you might be likely to be in a position to have a final total for SPC13. I know lots have disappeared for various reasons but there did seem to be some good amounts building up.
I did get back onto this site long after having given up so hopefully some others will find their way back too

I finally managed to sell my late husband's house. I had a buyer in January but they pulled out in September due to a the structural survey their mortgage company wanted, (due to covid their first mortgage offer expired) and as a result of that they could not get a mortgage.
It's ended up selling for a lot less to developers and then on the day of exchange they dropped their offer by £5000! I accepted the lower offer as I just needed an end to it all.
It's been 18 months now since I lost my ex-husband and 3 months after that when I lost my son too. I've managed to keep myself busy with clearing and selling two houses, and I've been dealing with probate myself, and now I just need to finalise the estate accounts.
After that, who knows? Life as I knew it will never be the same, but as my son always said, 'What doesn't kill you makes you stronger', and I've been putting that to the test.

Not quite mummytummy, but how about No 006? It's VERY lucky
Ok little_sweetie, that's No 12 done!
I'm hoping you're right, Ant, and they will be back as it seems strange to see so many gone. I honestly don't think they're able to due to the new format. So many have had the same problems. However, to answer your question - very soon I promise

Thank goodness you've at last sold your ex husband's house,
Frogletina! What a time it took,
I just hope the time hasn't pulled you down too much.
I thought of you at the weekend on hearing the news of the sad and tragic
death of my hairdresser's 22 year old daughter. Her partner was concerned as she
hadn't arrived home. On checking her phone via his to see where she was, it
showed the car was stationary. He drove to the spot, but thankfully the police
were already there and stopped him from going closer. So very sad, poor young
girl. They'd brought their own home less than a year ago. So much sadness in
life.
Live your life by your dear son's words Froglet. ❤️
You're moved to No 010 Babs. Let's hope it's lucky for you as it had
a wonderful previous owner.
