Sixt will have got their money when they sold the debt to the collection company. The collection company will send begging emails/letters until they get bored. Don't indulge them and they will eventually go and use their resources bothering someone else.
  • Just a quick update, the company decided to accept my lower offer and I paid it to get them off my back!
I am back in Germany next year (hopefully) and I have learned a lesson about speeding!!!!!!

Any reccomendations for car hire companys that wont shaft me?

All of them charge admin fees for speeding tickets etc - staff don't work for free, and they take time to process and deal with.
  • Hi, can anyone help? I am finding myself in this similar situation where I received an aggressive letter asking for 4x the original amount (which I have already paid) from eCollect. I emailed eCollect back but they have gone quiet on me.

I am no expert in international law but I’m fairly confident it can’t be enforced, how do you know that this company is legitimate and not just a scam?
If you believe you can, you will. If you believe you can't, you won't.

    Secured/Unsecured loans x 1
    Credit Cards x 8 (total limit £55,050)
Creation FS Retail Account x 1
    Creation Credit Sale 0% x 1 = £112.50pm x 20 mths
    0% Overdraft x 1 (£0 / £250)
    Mortgage Outstanding - £137,707.00 (Payment 13/360)
    Total Debt = £7,400 (0%APR) @ £100pm - Stoozing
