EON and EON Next

Are they the same? Ie if someone wants to change from a certain supplier to EON for electric, but are npower for gas, would they end up under the same supplier once the npower account is transferred to EON next? or would they apply to EON Next?

You would need to speak to EON directly to see if they will be able to link up your fuels once you have moved from us to them.

Just thought it was a bid disingenuous when an EON Next advisor stated it was a new company.

It's not even a new company; it was formed in 1999!

E.ON Next isn't a new company but instead a new platform for E.ON customers.

E.ON have signed up to use the Kraken billing system, developed by Octopus Energy. In the future they will look to migrate over all of their customers onto E.ON Next to cut costs, however in the meantime they're moving over Npower customers onto it.

Think of it as 'British Gas X/Evolve' or 'Npower Select' - same company but a different service which has been streamlined to save costs.

According to Companies House E.ON Next was incorporated in February of this year.

According to their website, they are E.ON Next Energy Limited, Registered in England & Wales, No. 03782443. Companies House shows that that company has operated under a range of names since 4 June 1999.

E.ON Next Energy Limited is basically npower and they've just changed the name earlier this year.

E.ON Next Limited (company reg 12467317) was a new company set up this year, but I don't know how that fits in to it all 😕
