30 days without broadband after house move

Day 30 without broadband. My provider is EE, they’re telling me every two days open reach are trying to activate the line as there is a problem somewhere. I’ve raised complaints but I feel both EE and open reach are just sitting back and doing nothing. Some days I don’t even get a promised phone call. This is all very stressful and frustrating as I know only EE can talk to OR. Has anyone been in a similar situation and have  advice  to give EE and OR a kick up the backside.

There's not really much else you can do except get a mifi dongle or tether to your mobile phone.
There is no way to chivvy them up and TBH getting frustrated with them can have a negative effect
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers
  • There's not really much you can do TBH. I had a similar problem with Vodafone earlier in the year - took 6 weeks to get a few issues sorted when I moved house. I picked up a 4G SIM from a Vodafone store and used an old phone as a WiFi hot spot. I kept asking for another data top up every time I called or was called by them until the issues were resolved - they were happy to oblige. It's frustrating I know but getting angry won't really help

Smarty who are the cheap branch of EE do a very reasonable unlimited internet and calls/texts. We use them at our caravan (well not this year) but it will take three laptops and streams ok from Amazon.
