Barclays mortgage timeline

Hi everyone! I've been a long term lurker. This is my first post as I am getting more nervous with my application and haven't seen much about Barclays here. My timeline is as below:
- 30/09: DIP
- 01/10: Application submitted (3 month payslip, bank statement, proof of address, signed gifted deposit letter etc.)
- 06/10: Request for signed mortgage declartion
- 07/10: Request for an extra month payslip and employer reference (submitted the next day)
- 08/10: Attempt to book a valuation but Barclays provided the wrong address
- 09/10: Returned sign declaration (they required a wet signature so took me a while to print them)
- 15/10: Valuation booked for 20/10
- 21/10: Request for a picture of my AMEX as the monthly statement doesn't have my card number
- 27/10: Informed that valuation has been accepted (but I think it was accepted on the 22/10)
- 28/10: Request for an attestation form from the broker

Hi, I’ve applied with Barclays too, through a broker.
30/9 DIP / hard search
6/10 application submitted
16/10 Broker says failed underwriting due to affordability. Broker disagrees and ‘repackages’ application
21/10 Submitted again to Barclays
28/10 Today, broker says it’s passed through underwriting and awaiting house valuation now.
Not sure if that helps you at all.0 -
Thanks! Sorry that you had to resubmit. It does seem like your process has more clarity than mine
My underwriting feels like it's been done in pieacemeal and we just get random requests. Might just be my luck!

It does seem quite different but perhaps my broker has responded to requests but not mentioned then to me. Anyway, I hope you get an offer soon!0

LEI99 said:Our application, hard search and desktop valuation were done on 2nd October, have been asked for extra docs on a few occasions now and we are back in the underwriter queue as of Monday. The Barclays trackit keeps updating the key facts but not providing any different info. Really hoping for some good news soon - fingers crossed.
did you apply via a broker? We've been told that it just has to pass a Know Your Customer check now and hoepfully we'll get an offer next week. Fingers crossed for all of us!

I remortgaged with Barclays with extra borrowing last month - took 3 days from application to signing final documents, couldn't ask for quicker than that and was expecting it to take a couple of months. Got the additional funds released within a week of that.
But that was with LTV of less than 60% and no valuation needed. Our Barclays mortgage advisor was excellent at chasing things through, but I imagine that they are taking longer if a valuation is needed or a higher LTV.
It still took us 8-10 weeks to get mortgage offers through 10 years ago pre COVID, so can't help thinking that you have unrealistic expectations...0 -
Anyone having issues with the Trackit website? I'm getting an 80006 error0
