Just tried three different postcodes doesn't recognise any of them..........0

Didn't find my postcode either (in Scotland) ... I tried with and without the space between the parts. I also tried the postcode from my previous home in England and that failed too.0

My postcode is recognised and vehicle. Prices look too good to be true!AA garages are too far from me though. There is no way I would let them collect and deliver. e.g. "Oh, we found some dangerous defects which will cost £xxx to fix and there is no way we can deliver your car until it is safe to drive".0

I was a member of ADAC for a good few years. Although ADAC and AA were affiliated it was sad to see the difference between a no profit organisation run for the benefit of its members compared with a company that will do anything to extract maximum profit from everything it does.0

Well, it's now accepting my postcode. And for an MOT on my 15yo, 90k mile car... it's quoting me £35. Just the test fee.
So for the OP to have had a fixed-price £600 quote, they must have booked more than just an MOT.
And it's telling me who the garage doing the test would be - so I could call them and get a price directly...

Worked for me today too. Same result ... £35 for the MOT only (including collection/delivery) and specified the choice of test centres.
One does wonder how they can make a profit though, given that the test fee itself is >£35.0 -

Surely this is the same business model as servicing stop? You get a cheap MOT but when things need doing the AA massively inflate the garage price?0
