My car passed MOT -two months ago.  No advisory.  The exhaust is blown- top/middle need done.      Trader who sold said wear and tear.  Garage repairing said it's a hard place I am in.  But one guy is dubious this just happened- smallish town so understand loose lips etc.

Anybody with a mechanical mind have an opinion..    I believe the repair with be £180.    I can afford it just such a failure two months in.
My exhaust back box fell off the day after my MOT this year, things happen, MOT is not a warranty, it just says the car was road worthy at the time the test was conducted.

Not all faults on cars show signs of coming before they happen or necessarily show as needing an advisory before they happen.
