Post Office now Jaja Credit card Section 75 claim

in Credit cards
Hi, I am wondering if anyone on here can help with this. I had a Post Office Credit card that recently transferred over to Jaja at the start of October. I have not had issues transferring over and have managed to get the app sorted and all my transactions are showing etc. However, I was due to go away abroad for a family wedding in March and booked a 5 night hotel stay on my Post Office credit card - around £600. Due to not being able to travel, the wedding has not taken place. I have contacted the hotel and they are not willing to offer a refund. I have contacted many times requesting one and each time they say they are not refunding the hotel costs. I have managed to get a voucher for my flights and can use them over the next 2 years to anywhere. I therefore completed a Post Office credit card disputed transactions form and wrote them a letter saying that i wished to claim back the hotel costs through them under section 75.This was back in July and i sent them all the paperwork, statements, emails from hotel etc saying i had tried to sort with them first. Others who were also due to travel to the wedding have successfully claimed back hotel costs via their card companies. I waited over the summer and have proof they have received my letter (i sent it royal mail signed for). However, now Post Office credit cards have moved to Jaja. I really don't know what to do. I have heard nothing from the Post Office and cannot get through to Jaja. Who is now responsible for this claim - Post Office who i originally made the purchase through or Jaja? Who do i contact? I cannot find any address to send anything through to the Post Office to apart from the one i sent to in Bristol under a disputed transactions form. Searches for Post office credit card section 75 show virtually nothing about how/where to claim and Jaja has nothing on their website about how to claim or even if they are responsible for picking up this claim now. I am at a loss as to who to contact and how. Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. I know many people have had issues already with Jaja and can imagine that something like this would be at the bottom of their list. Many thanks.

You would need to contact JaJa as they now handle the cards.
Something like this is better over the phone rather than via post.
It could be that in the change over that your previous paperwork has not moved over to them. (thus lost)
All you can do is keep trying to contact them. Take it that the PO CC was actually the Bank of Ireland one.
Call: 0345 309 8099*Bank of Ireland UK Credit Card Customer Services, PO Box 10782, Wigston, LE18 9HS
That is the complaints contact details, which I would be pursuing in your case now.

Tend to agree with @eskbanker in that if the hotel was open but you just could not get there then no S75 claim unless the whole thing was part of a package holiday which it doesn't sound as if it was, but in terms of your question - does anyone know if the 'liabilities' (if I can call them that) ie S75 claims remain with the PO or are they transferred to JaJa as part of the business.0

TBH. If I was the OP looking at the below. I would contact the old PO and see what they have to say. Put the ball in their court.

If this is your card and the first four digits on the long card number across the front are 5545, 5425 or 4618, your move to Jaja took place on 3rd October 2020. You will need to register for your new app or online servicing to continue to view your account online.

Take it that the last one is still with the PO & Capital One.Life in the slow lane0
