    Afternoon all!
    It's Friday!
Had an ok day - had a zoom meeting at 7.30, taught 2 lessons, caught up on a load of admin and spoke to the boss - all from home. Managed to get everything done by about 1.30 - have one more job to do but just don't have the motivation to do it so it'll get done on Sunday.
Been out for a good hour long brisk walk with the dog for some fresh air and exercise now the rain has stopped, so hopefully that's him tired out for a while. I've also hoovered and dusted the whole house, sorted out two loads of dry washing and given the kitchen a good clean and sorted the bins and recycling - so I'm all nice and tidy for the weekend.
I still need to do a food stocktake and make a shopping list for tomorrow - I don't think I'll need too much though.

Have a few additional jobs that need to get done this weekend - nothing very exciting but I need a list to remind myself to do them....
    Bath the dog
    Dye my hair
    Hoover out the car
    Wash the cushion covers

I'm sure there's other things that need doing so I'll add to the list as I think of them.
Right, might actually have a little rest now - been a busy day

  • Sounds like things are going well both with estate agents and student loan refund.  I think it may be too much of a rush to try and do this before the stamp duty holiday finishes and as you say looking for a new property in the current circumstances  would be impossible. Leaving it until the Spring to put it on the market seems to make more sense but obviously only you can decide.

    Afternoon!
It's been a strange day in Manchester - I set off to walk to the local(ish) shops with the dog this morning about 9am and by 9.15 we were trudging through a total blizzard! Carried on as we were half way there by then but it was atrocious - there was 3 inches of snow on the ground by the time we got home an hour later!
By lunchtime, a lot of it had disappeared from the roads but its still freezing and threatening more.

Anyway, I decided to do the shopping at the local shops rather than the supermarket to try to support them a bit and to limit what I bought (as I had to carry it all home again!). Went to the butchers, bakers and veg shop (but not the candlestick makers!) and called in at the vets for some more of the sensitive tummy dog food (its ridiculously expensive but the only thing he'll eat when he's a bit wobbly).

I gave myself a bit of a talking to yesterday after looking and feeling a right state - tired, bloated, uncomfortable stomach, pasty skin, psoriasis patches. Some of it is due to the menopause, but if I'm honest I'm not really helping myself either. My diet is not great, I've been drinking too much wine out of boredom in the evenings, I still do sneaky smoking (why??? I think if I hide it I don't really smoke!) and even though I walk and run a lot I feel sluggish and achey.  So, things will change !
I'm not giving myself a hard time about it - this last year has been bonkers for everyone - but I do need to make some alterations and be kinder to myself.
I'm not going mad and cutting every thing out and setting myself up to fail in a week's time - this week's goal is no booze and cooking proper food from fresh ingredients every day. Combined with at least an hour and a half split into dog walks every day, a couple of runs a week and better sleep, I will hopefully start to feel a bit more like the old me.

Some good news - mum and dad have had the letter for their vaccinations, Dad is going on Tuesday and Mum on Thursday.
I thought she's be thrilled to bits but no - she's quite infuriating sometimes and sees the negatives in everything. Dad is chuffed and raring to go....  I'm pleased for them though.

Just off to browse some workouts online as I couldn't run today due to the weather - a quick half hour blast of uncoordinated leaping around the living room will perk me up
  • I know what you mean about feeling menopausal and bleugh! I don’t have a dog and have been homeworking since March and lucky as I’ve lost around 4 stone. I do YouTube workouts 5 days a week. If you like walking try Reps to The Rhythm, Rick Bueller, and Walk At Home Channels. Might be a mild for you though.

I’ve also recently tried a few weeks of CBD oil and omg I felt so different! Less brain fog, more energy! My last one ended last Sunday and can feel the bleugh trickling back in so I’ve reordered some from Boots for next week. If you do get the opportunity I’d recommend it.

    Take care lovely!
