So you're not going to answer any of the questions as to what the flooring is made up of?Smithy99 said:
Yes those aren't great either and I don't know why that's suddenly happened. Should I be worried or is it just one of those things? Thankstonyh66 said:is it vinyl tiles or is it laminate flooring, either way the cracks in the wall grouting is 100 times worse looking. Fill your little chip by rubbing a candle over it.

I genuinely can't as I don't know! I didn't lay it. It looks and feels like vinyl to me, but others have mentioned laminate . I thought laminate was all wooden flooring? I know nothing 😂neilmcl said:

i can't believe you don't know the difference between vinyl and laminate! vinyl is a piece of thick rubber with pattern printed on it. laminate looks like wood and feels like wood, but is slippery. so if the floor is soft then it is vinyl, but if it is hard then it is laminate if you can't decide if it is laminate or vinyl.Smithy99 said:

Then it is definitely vinyl which is what I said originally.AskAsk said:

Not sure why people have been so sarcastic - It's unnecessary, this isn't Facebook. How did most people learn about DIY? Asking questions on a supposedly helpful forum is a perfectly acceptable way to learn stuff.
OP, you only need to worry about water getting under the vinyl to the chipboard below. The tiles look fine, you can just glue them back down if needed and fill any gaps with a little bit of clear silicone, as other posters have already advised. If they aren't lifting then just use the silicone, don't lift them off the chipboard if they are still fixed down.1
