Which is why we need to see the NTK PCN first , to check for POFA complianceLe_Kirk said:The only way you can deal (and I would advise editing your first post to remove that error you did make advising the world who the driver was) is for your brother to nominate you as driver and send the relevant part of the form back to Initial Parking. That is not recommended, as the keeper has more protection in law than the driver.1 -

Pictures now uploaded above! I haven't contacted anyone about anything yet, just waiting for advice, and I'm really grateful to you all2

Looks to be POFA compliant to me , as I expected , so that won't help the registered keeper
I assume that both of you have seen the transfer of liability slip on page 2 ??
He should use it and provide your details as driver , so you get a PCN in your own name
Then you can deal with it , legally and morally
He would do the same if you had been speeding and he received an N I P2 -
I know, I understand that, but I was pointing out that this stuff doesn't work on the basis of common sense or logic - there are strict rules to follow to avoid making a mess of things and falling deeper into the clutches of a PPC.morris20 said:Thank you Umkomaas, I'm just sorting pictures now! No I didn't mean that he should overrule the law, but as an explanation for why the letters weren't received earlier, as it's now passed their 28 day deadline and I don't know how to contact them
The same is relevant to listening to pub 'experts' who have freely given so many gash lines (which sound even more plausible after a few pints!), which we often find ourselves having to help unravel. There isn't any quick, money-free, simple solution, I'm afraid. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

I can't see any way to edit my post, and another forum post says that you need to have a minimum number of posts/days as a member to edit? I wrote it in as best way as I could to protect identity, however as soon as I am allowed to edit I will do so.Le_Kirk said:The only way you can deal (and I would advise editing your first post to remove that error you did make advising the world who the driver was) is for your brother to nominate you as driver and send the relevant part of the form back to Initial Parking. You can if you wish but in this case he should name you as driver so not that important in this case , could be in another case in the future
Tell him he cannot just say
Bro , your problem , you deal with it
He must legally transfer the liability , to get his name out of it1 -
Thanks Redx, I'll do that and then continue once they've contacted me personally. I am worried as he received a further letter from a debt collection company, therefore the more time spent the more money will accrue? Does transfer of liability re-open the time window for appeals?Redx said:Looks to be POFA compliant to me , as I expected , so that won't help the registered keeper

It should do for you , then you can download and read the BPA CoP 2020 edition , checking the section on major keying errors and using that to reduce it down to £20 , then pay it
He can ignore the debt collectors , they are powerless
nothing is accruing , the charge remains at £100 , it does not increase , at all
