Jag forums are full of posts by people who buy an end-of-life car and then have massive problems with it.0

Sounds like the motoring equivalent of "The Money Pit"
What "issues" are the dealer trying to fix prior to delivery ?
No test drive and paying by BACS, I'm afraid you didn't do anything to protect yourself.0 -
I posted this to ask for help and all I have is people criticising me for choosing a jag what the hell difference what make of car it is the make of the car is totally irrelevant, what is relevant is the company told me that if I give them a £1000 deposit they would have the car ready for collection on the following Friday then they broke the verbal contract so I want my deposit back and I’ll buy my jag from someone who is reliable, you lot mentioning that I chose a “ money pit” is to be honest ridiculous, swap the jag for a Prius what difference does that make to a broken verbal contract0

Makes a massive difference as to what is reasonable. Even on a £50k new car the delivery date can change, let alone a clapped out old shed.2

Most specifically, what is the fault they are trying to repair?
What is the update since the beginning of the week as to the status of the Jag - are they able to supply it to you yet?0 -
When I bought my current car I was due to collect on the Friday after it had been through the workshop for a service. However I got a call on the Thursday to say it would not be ready as when the mechanic took it out for a test drive afterwards a fault developed. The part required was due to arrive Friday afternoon and if it did I could collect Saturday. No problem. Better than the fault developing after I had collected it.

What a truely horrible person. You do realise people on the forum give their time for free don't you. I suggest that you never ever use a forum for advice again.0
