I have a website which is currently hosted by one.com. I am using a Wordpress theme on the website. I would like the change host as one.com is getting more expensive and I don't think the security it provides is that great.

I'm looking for an alternative provider that can allow me to use my domain, host Wordpress themes and plugins, allow me to have more than one email account and have SEO tools. Currently one.com is able to provide all these things. I was wondering if there are any providers that anyone can recommend?

I'm currently paying £148 a year

There's loads out there - how about you say what price you are currently paying, so that people know which ones to suggest that are cheaper

Yes, good point! I forgot. I'm currently paying £148 a year
  • I'm paying half that or less with TSOHost for my hosting, which also allows for Wordpress hosting (given that it supports MySQL and PHP).

I've had up to 50 websites with Tsohost over the years. They've really gone down hill recently, taking days to respond to support tickets and there seems to be some security issues on their windows servers. I can't speak for their wordpress hosting, but I would definitely not recommend them.
I'm not sure what 'seo tools' you're paying for, but everything else you are asking for should cost around £3 per month.
  • I've been with Namehog for donkeys years ... they were taken over by someone and then they were taken over by TSOHost.

I've been looking around for a host as I'm with 1&1 / Ionos on a special offer and it gets a bit tiresome having to remember to cancel the contract and get a new one every year to get the special offer pricing. I came across "sharkhosting", which appears to have some good reviews (bar one or two) and is dead cheap - under a tenner for a year for a single domain. I have to renew one just after Christmas and am tempted to switch it over there.

I went over to Shark recently, one small site £5 a year, nothing complex, and no problems so far
All prices may increase due to C Panel prices increasing in the New Year, if you use it, as I do

Are those SEO tools somehow interconnected with your website host? If we're talking about SEO and the best practices of it, I can highly recommend website and service of Natural Links linkbuilders because they do maybe the safest promotion of any web resource, simply building all over the web, providing the best and highest places for your website in the search engine result pages.
