Ebico to British Gas First Readings?

The ebico website is still working for me, but I emailed them and they don't know when I am due to leave ebico.
BG sent me an email today (29 Oct) saying they are "working on my switch". I created a BG online account but when I log in it gives me the error "no associated accounts".1 -
Ebico sitestill works but
Your account is now closed and you will be unable to submit or view meter reads
So it looks like an estimated final bill then.I created a BG account ok but trying to give a reading was a real hassle.

Oh,right.Thanks. The puzzle for me was how to get BG to accept my reads.

The Electricity section of my new BG online account, which switched over from Ebico on 16th October 2020, is now correctly displaying my submtted opening reading.
My Gas supply switchover took place on 22nd October 2020 so there's no opening Gas reading displayed just yet.
I received a letter today from BG apologising for the delay in setting up my account and crediting my Bank account with £30 payment which I see was paid in 2 days ago.

My gas switched from Ebico to BG on the 15th October. As requested I gave a reading to BG on that day and although the reading does not show on my BG account I have now had a final (correct) bill from Ebico using that reading so presumably all is OK.
Can't see if BG want a monthly reading and what the optimum date I should do so.1 -

I checked again early this morning and see my submitted Gas meter reading is also now showing online. The Electricity meter reading has already been accepted.
Of some concern is that other aspects of the BG account are still not right. For the time being I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and accept they're having teething problems transferring details from Ebico.
For example, I see no evidence of my credit built up with Ebico. This month's actual Direct Debit taken by BG doesn't tally with the reduced figure listed for me on their portal, and yet I'm seeing messages that indicate by end of tarifff I'll be £55 in debit so should increase my Direct Debit amount now! It's confusing so say the least.
