i saw those but i couldn't work out how to fix them to the wall.  also i think my cable is too thick for these.

They do different sizes do there will be one that fits for sure.  To secure to the wall you drill/rawlplug the wall then screw through the hole in the cleat.

Edit.. they are designed to hold swa/armoured cable 

2nd edit..  as your cables are tied together it may be possible to thread the cleat between the cable depending on how they are tied

A 6mm hole is indeed pretty large, and you'll struggle to find any screw with a head big enough. Simple fix is to use a penny washer. They come in various sizes - A 4mm ID, 12mm OD washer would do the job.

Why? I think any 4-4.5mm countersunk screw will do the job. You can even find stainless ones to supplement stainless clips.
