Thanks for this. Yes, 'Je Reviens' is elegant, gentle and floral.
DH doesn't like me wearing much make-up - says I don't need it. But he does love this perfume.

NO all the foundation is plastered on their faces......joke.. stereotyping....chill out people
How old are you [strike]a**sehole[/strike] sorry, acehole?
Having tried it once, you should have realised that jokes of this nature can be thought of as offensive.
Personally I'm not offended (the changing of your username is my contribution to humour), but I do find stereotypical labelling to be rather more boring than funny!
PS: another favourite perfume of mine is Pleasures Intense, mmmm!!I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

They can be - and are - offensive, because of the images they evoke, and the stereotypes they bring to mind.
Put it this way - would you make similar so-called 'jokes' about black people, that they smell of wee and have foundation plastered all over their faces? I don't think so. Yet you think it's quite OK to make these kind of demeaning remarks about ladies of 50+ and when people express offence, you laugh and say 'chill out', thereby blaming the person who takes offence for being stupid, out-of-touch and humourless.
There is nothing wrong with my sense of humour, but I'll always raise objections when this kind of remark is passed. Martin requests that offensive etc posts should be reported.

My all-time favourite is called 'Je Reviens' but it's not easy to get hold of. DH bought it in France for me. He also bought me Chanel 'No. 5' which is a real classic, because he loves it.

Hi Margaret
I worked for The Perfume Shop for 3 yrs and they stock Je Revien in a pure perfume for 9.99 and an edt for 4.99 (50ml), if they haven't got it at your nearest shop if its in the book on the counter they can order it for you from another store
for no extra cost.
To the OP if you go to a dedicated shop thats stocks just perfume they should have the training to find you the perfect perfume. Spray it on a card first (along with the fragrances your friend likes) and once you find one that smells similar that you think she will like try it on your skin but let it dry for 5 minutes to let the top notes dry off (you only smell the middle, and bottom notes when you have your fragrance on for the day). If you can't decide which fragrance to get they do, do body lines like body lotion, shower gel etc which is very nice and will help the fragrance stay on for longer.
Hope that helps.

I wish you'd learn to do quotes so that your reply isn't mixed up in it.
It only counts as humour when other people laugh...........not just you!
Others not sharing your sense of humour isn't "killing society" for goodness sake. It's not political correctness or anything else of that nature, it's simple good manners to go through life trying not to hurt people. By this time you really should have seen that your silly attempt at 'humour' is hurting someone and, if you were behaving like an adult, you would apologise and move on.
If I stereotyped you as a male 18 year old, acne covered twerp simply because of your answers to this thread, I'd be being offensive, which I'm not, because I'm not describing you, am I?I let my mind wander and it never came back!0 -

I appreciate now that some people are easily offended or don't always see the funny side of things. and how do you do the "quote" thing i'm 18, spotty and a twerp0

Can I just say, I am the last person to want to, or attempt to, 'kill society with political correctness'. My objection to your remarks has nothing at all to do with political correctness. It has to do with the fact that you made a completely uncalled-for and unwarranted suggestion that ladies over 50 'smell of wee'. On what do you base that assumption - have you some evidence - or is it just something you have in your own nasty head? You then compounded your sick 'joke' by making a remark about ladies with foundation all over their faces.
There is nothing funny in your statement that women of 50 smell of wee or use excessive foundation on their faces. Who is supposed to be laughing? From the other replies here, no one except yourself has thought it in the least funny, and goodness knows why anyone should think so. There are jokes in the world which are genuine jokes and I laugh as much as the next person.
For your information, I am 72 and I do not smell of wee, and neither does any other woman whom I know. Nor do I use foundation on my face. I do, however, like a nice perfume when I dress to go somewhere nice - it's just part of my outfit, it's not to hide less pleasant smells.
I actually reported your posts to Martin, as we're requested to do. Please take your inane and ill-informed 'humour' elsewhere.
