Ooh yes, can definitely recommend 'Deci Dela' as suggested by nononesperfect.

My eldest sister, who is late 50's loves Beautiful by Estee Lauder, as well as Pleasures.
My 2nd eldest, who is mid 50's likes City Glam by Armani, which smelled so nice on her, I asked for it for Xmas.
My 3rd eldest sister, who is mid 40's likes Light Blue by Dolce Gabanna.

My favourite is Elle (white) Armani, plus Deci Dela. I also like the Clarins Eau Dynamisante and Eau Tranquility which are lovely refreshing fragrances, and very reasonably priced too.

L'Air du Temps might be a bit too heavy/musky if she likes Anais Anais (I have both). Anais Anais is a daytime scent, so how about something like Eternity by Calvin Kline. (Classic, flowery, daytime, recommended for the slightly more mature woman apparently although I have a bottle and I'm only 35 :o )

I love ghost deep night but, as the name suggests, it's a bit heavy for day wear. Personally, I don't care and wear it anyway. I'm a devil, lol

I also second armani white. Or Paul Smith - can't remember which, but it's a square, pink-tinted bottle in a stripey box. Lovely. I have loads.

    Probably far too many!

Edit: Or flower by kenzo. It's a lovely bottle and it's a nice, light fragrance. Quite flowery. Very pretty :)

Well, I'm 49 in a few weeks and I like Light Blue by Dolce and Gabanna, Me by Dolce and Gabanna, and Mont Blanc by Mont Blanc (obviously!!) :D
My second favorite household chore is ironing. My first being, hitting my head on the top bunk bed until I faint.

But why did you even find it necessary to suggest such a thing? You must have had that stereotype in your mind from somewhere, even though it has no foundation.

My all-time favourite is called 'Je Reviens' but it's not easy to get hold of. DH bought it in France for me. He also bought me Chanel 'No. 5' which is a real classic, because he loves it.

  • I have to say my favourite perfume gift ever was a box of a selection of minature bottles by Givenchy. There are a lot of different collections of minature bottles around, and I just love them as a gift - it means I can try out lots of perfumes for different occasions.

Might be an idea to give her a choice rather than just one that she might not like?
