I don't think it's the person receiving the money that's being exploited in that case.HobgoblinBT said:
I don’t see it as far fetched. When I worked in commercial banking I received an alert for one of my customers, a self employed carpenter. His business was entirely domestic with no overseas trade. He received a number of payments of increasingly large amounts from Australia. Upon investigation his wife’s earnings as a webcam model was being paid through the account, and as the bank was not keen on involvement in adult entertainment which is considered human exploitation, we closed the account.Dr_Crypto said:It’s not really typical trolling to ask questions even if they seem far fetched.1 -
I'm not into that sort of thing, but don't believe there's anything illegal about one consenting adult paying another consenting adult for entertainment purposes in these circumstances?HobgoblinBT said:

Unless this is one of the Islamic banks (because while feeling that people have a right to earn money in that way, I also believe in freedom of religious beliefs), or a bank that has made it clear from the outset it's not keen with adult entertainment, I don't see that position as reasonable in any way, obviously as long as the money can be accounted for.💙💛 💔3 -

In this case the person receiving the money is not the person providing the service, so from the bank's point of view there is a possibility of exploitation.I don't think it's the person receiving the money that's being exploited in that case.

Not illegal but each Bank has its own policies on whom they will take on as a customer. As well as the adult industry, some banks’ policy is not to provide services to industries that provide a reputation all risk to them by association, such as gambling, secondary financial institutions including pay day loan companies, companies involved in research that involves tests on animals and certain parts of the defence industry(the bits that go bang).
