Excel/VCS tend to make these offers when the claim is weak. They don't make them in every case. That said going to court is still a lottery but it is also a lottery for them especially if the judge has allocated two hours for the case as they will have to pay a rep for two hours even if the case only lasts 10 mins.
I will check the paperwork when i'm back in my home office, but from memory there is 30 minutes allocated.  And the District Judge has laid out a list of items required from the Claimant.  Whether that list is in response to my defence or just a template standard they use in these parking matters i am unsure.
That sounds like a directions hearing which may involve another hearing. Expensive for the Claimant.

Did you manage to obtain a letter of authority about the drop off? That would be useful for your WS.  You are not asking for them to contact Excel to cancel the claim just to state facts. They don't have to engage with Excel at all.

I agree, 30 minutes is just a preliminary hearing to narrow the issues and try to persuade one side or the other to drop it.  DON'T.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

If/when you have the scammer's WS, please post it here for the regulars to look over. Please only redact YOUR personal data. Hopefully you will get it before you have to submit yours.
Yes, i will do.  The Trial Date is 16 days away, should i have expected to receive theirs by now?  (I assume not as they would have received the Notice of Trial Date probably at the same time as I, within the last week)

This thread seems to be about a Birmingham incident but the WS states Wells-Next-The-Sea?
