on amazon there is a section called Morrisons. seems great ordered food and booze etc, and it arrived about 3 hours ago. I won't bother again. ordered some stewing steak almost a kilo in weight. got .45 of a kilo! ordered casserole veg 1 kilo. got country veg eg mixed cabbage cauliflower. no good for casserole. other stuff wrong too. the only stuff that was correct was the booze!
so now I have to go shopping myself tomorrow, which kind of defeats the object of having a home delivery. I've emailed them. told them I want full refund less the booze.0 -
I used this service for the first time today. It all went pretty smoothly. My order arrived quickly (15 minutes before the scheduled delivery slot) and I didn't have any substitutions. I do virtually all my supermarket shopping online and would certainly use the Amazon Morrisons service again for smaller orders, but probably not to replace a standard shop from one of the other supermarkets. The main reasons are limited delivery slots (I booked around midday yesterday and was offered a single delivery slot the next day) product availability (e.g. no organic milk), limited ability to edit the order once placed (you can add items, but can't delete anything). On the other hand, the ability to get free delivery on Prime was a major plus point.1

I've used this service a few times and had no problem with it, aside from the fact that Morrisons doesn't have as good a range as the other supermarkets.
It's good if you are single and don't really have the need for the other store's ridiculous £40 minimum spend, however what is the charge they slap on at the end for substitutes all about? It seems to usually bump up the overall cost by 10% and I can't see what it actually does? Is it just a hidden surcharge?0 -
Just had our first Morrisons delivery via Amazon and we were impressed. Every item in our 48 item order was in stock and everything well dated unlike our normal delivery from Asda. Everything was packed in strong brown paper bags and frozen food came in a large Amazons freezer bag which the driver unpacked on the doorstep, again in brown paper bags. The order was on time 12 hours after ordering! EXCELLENT!.0

I have found if I am online during the day, the picker asks me what subs I want. You can also be very specific in subs you'll accept. I like the service. If you work with them, and use all the options offered to you, it's brilliant!2021 GC £1365.71/ £24000

Has anyone else ordered from Morrisons via Amazon and had their delivery turn up with broken seals? I've had three deliveries - the first was delivered all sealed and was fine. The second had 3 out of 4 opened, so I contacted Amazon and went through the process with them but got no feedback about it. The last delivery had one broken seal, and I tried to go through the process with Morrisons but their system requires you to input a delivery code and it doesn't accept Amazon delivery codes.
I suspect that it is the drivers unsure that the right stuff is going to the right house - my gripe is that the seals gave me a warm feeling that contact had been minimised and I was doing something to minimise my COVID risk by shopping this way. As the deliveries seem to be coming via normal cars and different people every time my concern is that the chances of getting the bug are no better than an old-school trolling round the shops.
Anyone out there shop from Morrisons through Amazon and had similar experiences? I might get an answer or assurances quicker here than going through the "Contact Us" loops for Amazon or Morrisons.0 -
as in the seals on the paper bags? if there's a lot in the bag it can rip a bit.
The stuff is picked and sent by hand so it's not minimizing your risk in that way. It's reducing your contact with other people in a shop. I'd still mask up and disinfect if concerned.2021 GC £1365.71/ £24002 -

Isn't the picking done in the supermarkets themselves rather than a picking centre? That's what Morrisons say, anyway.
