Amazon Prime Morrisons shopping

So if I order from Amazon Prime Morrison's & my item is not
available when the shelf picker goes to pick it what happens about
substitutes? Do they let you know in advance or is it just "pot luck"?
Do you have to pay the subs item price or is it price matched like say ASDA do?
I can not find the info anywhere.
Anyone know?
And is it really "Same day" or can you pick a slot a few days ahead instead?
Thanks folks

You get a message via your amazon now app if an item is unavailable. If the picker finds an alternative then they will ask you to accept or decline it at the new price (no price matching, as far as I know).
You're given a choice of delivery slots once you place your order, usually same or next day.1 -
That's right - you get a message and choose to accept or reject. If you accept, you pay the price of the replacement item.
So it is worth making sure your phone is handy!
When you order, you tick a box to say what to do if they have to substitute and you don't respond, either go ahead with the substitution or leave the item out.
My first two orders had no substitutions. My last order had three. All were sensible substitutions but all were slightly more expensive than what I had ordered.1 -
Since morrisons stopped dedlivering to me (using a fulfillment centre not my local 5 mile away store) I gave this service a try. They are meant to ring you in theory, I would sssume they won't.I put no substitutions on my order.Despite this they got 3 things wrong. One was sending kitten biscuits instead of old cat wet food! Another was they sent handwash refills instead of ones with a pump (I needed the pump). They also sent 5 packs of the same cheese brand instead of the spreadable version. Oh, and becuase they use stupid paper bags and deliver by a non cooled taxi the frozen food they sent was ruined. (becuase it came from a 40 stoore 40 mins away not my local).Would only use again for non frozen food. Even chilled is going to break paper bags but not as quickly. They did however refund me for all the things. Even there was no option to select idiot picked the wrong thing off the sheves.Of course all my issues will depend on where you are and the competance of the local store. For reference if you are in Leeds then avoid. Or use the real morrisons delivery if you live in the delivery area (yes I know, no same day).0

I've found the Morrisons delivery from Amazon very unsatisfactory. The frozen and chilled food had obviously spent too long in a warm van.0

I agree that Morrisons gives poor service. Their substitutions are always much higher price and so we have stopped using. They always seem to be trying to catch-up with other supermarkets.0

Had a Morrisons order delivered yesterday. Driver was in uniform but van was plain white. It was parked near enough to house, for me to notice that it was an ordinary large van. No air con unit on the top. I could see inside it from upstairs window and again, no refrigeration, let alone freezer.
When I spoke to Morrisons' CS a few weeks ago, they admitted that most deliveries were being made from stores and that stores have stock numbers reserved for online orders, so that's why it will be out of stock online but available in store.
I suggest that if you can, buy frozen in-store or try frozen from Iceland. First time shoppers get a discount. You can place an order of £25 and pay I think it's £2 for small order surcharge or £35 and get free delivery. Vans have freezers and come from local store, in my experience.
Amazon does sell non-fresh Morries food via ordinary Prime. I saved £9 on a case of tinned salmon compared to store price. Morries CS admitted that they sell to Amazon and deliver to their warehouses.0 -
We get grocery deliveries about once a week, currently from Asda using a delivery pass. I'm thinking of switching to Morrisons. But would it be best to spend £65 on a Morrisons delivery pass and get our groceries from their website, or to regularly get Morrisons to deliver via Prime (I'm a Prime member)?
I had my first Morrisons delivery via Amazon last week. It was good! And delivery is no extra cost for Prime members when ordering via Amazon.
However, it seems that on the Morrisons website, there are a number of price cuts and other deals which are not there in the Morrisons section of Amazon (though there are still some).
So over, say, a year, has anyone an inkling for which would be most cost-effective?
Thanks for you help.

Well after much deliberation & the fact that had promo Amazon Prime membership I gave the Amazon Morrison's shopping a go.I found the Amazon website rather clunky to use (may be me) but did find enough items to fill a £40 min spend basket. Some sections were a bit complicated like the fresh veg & Market street. Beware if price is per item or per bag or per kg- check & double check. Also you could type the item you want into Amazon search box & hope it finds it. Did work for me.When it came to checking out you are taken to a selection of time slots - but my selection was in fact one choice next day (not in 2 hrs as advertised) 8am to 10am.You can then say yes/no to substitutions. If you give a mobile number you will get a text if a sub item goes into the trolley & you get a short window then to say accept or not.Anyhow, the next day arrived. At 0602 I got a text to say that they had started to select my items. Got one subs text which gives a link to a webpage which is a chat box to see what replacement is & you say Accept if want. I did - a different variety of lettuce. At around 840 a chap (in face mask) knocked the door & placed on doorstep several brown bags with Amazon logo on with shopping inside. He then returned to his vehicle (a car - I could see easily from front door)) & took out a thermally insulated box & took out my cold goods (in brown bag) & brought them to door. That was it & he left.Upon opening each bag it felt a bit like opening a Xmas prezzie! There was one item which had also been substituted but I think it was more of a redesigning of packaging & whilst not exactly the same weight it was acceptable to me (& later I check Morrison's website & was more expensive than the actual price I paid). Another fresh item had a 92p price label on it but my online receipt showed 77p so again not an issue. Other fresh items & dates ranged from very good to acceptable. But that goes for any online shop methinks.I had one query regarding some chocolate bars as I thought the webpage was wrong when I ordered it & assumed it meant a 4pack of bars & that did arrive. However I contacted Amazon customer service through webchat to tell them it was a "dodgy" page & they looked at the page & agreed it could have been misleading & as brought to their attention gave me a refund on item which I did not actually go to webchat for.So, overall I'd give 7/10. Lost one star as not 2 hour same day - lost one star as website clunky but very good in terms of packaging & customer service & informing of subs via text. As for buying a full shop from the selection of Morrison's online on Amazon it could be tricky depending upon item choices however for £7-99 a month Prime to get free delivery over £40 shop it is definitely a good choice considering some supermarkets (incl Morrison's proper site) charge around a fiver for just one delivery & no other Prime extras.
