The "Entry requirements" section on the FCO website can give an idea, but you can only be sure by checking each individual country's government website.  And even then, it may change at any time.

I'm not sure where you were looking at but in my experience if you connect the link to the individual countries link it tells you precisely what will happen on arrival.

Indeed before you even get there it often has a summary of the regulations pertaining to your country of travel That was certainly my finding on a recent trip to Italy.
