Help with NDR ( debt recovery)

Hi, Wonder if any one can help.
I have had problems with shop direct finance. I was paying £10.00 a month to Great Universal and they was quite happy with what i was paying them. Then K&CO took over Great Universal and then they handed the debt over to NDR Money who was putting pressure on me to pay an amount i couldnt afford every 28 days and then they were putting on £12.00 admin fees every month because i couldnt pay every 28 days so was having trouble paying them. I rang them to see if something could be sorted and they were very unsimpathetic i couldnt belive it. I then came through to this site and read that i could request my Credit agreement from them. So i wrote to them and i asked them for my credit agreement which they didnt have so they sent me a copy of someone elses. After several letters to and fro they eventually wrote to me and said they wont be chasing me for this debt because they cant supply me with the credit agreement that i requested, but they did say that it will be put on my credit file for six years. My question is " If they cant supply me with my Credit Agreement then how can this be put this debt on a credit reference file" as i understood that without a credit agreement they were unable to do this.0 -
help! is additions catalogue now called very? i,m having lots of hassle with them, won,t freeze the interest on the account so i can reduce the debt, so the balance is never going down, i have contacted them several times about this and they will not budge, i,ve even written them a letter asking to freeze interest and they havent even replied, they have now passed it onto ndr even though i was paying them 50 pounds every month, i rang ndr and they are saying that they won,t freeze the interest either and it will get passed onto bailiffs and court, i went to the citizens advice last week about this and they told me to write the letter to the catalogue about the interest which i did but like i said i,ve had no reply, please help !0

Sorry kazakastan haven't read all the thread, but NDR are Littlewoods/K&Co/Great Universal and Very's internal collections department. So the debt hasn't been sold, they are collecting on behalf of.
How old is the account, have you asked them for a copy of your credit agreement, how much do you owe? Have they defaulted you?:beer:0 -
hi, i have written a letter today requesting the credit agreement, i owe them 1750.00, i have been paying 50 a month , but only about 12.00 has actually come of the balance! one month only 20p came off! when i rang additions the woman told me to carry on paying the 50 a month and i would be ok, then lo and behold they passed it onto ndr, the guy on the phone last night told me i was only on a payment plan for 3 months and it had ended and i hadnt brought the account up to date, i told him what addidtions told me and he wasn,t having any of it, i paid additions 50.00 last week and they never mentioned anything about the plan ending, i,m at my wits end about it, nobody listens, i,ve tried and tried to compromise with them about the high interest charges and they won,t budge, so much for ringing the creditors up and trying to help the problem! thanks for replying to my question ,0

HI,
Make sure you send it recorded so they have to sign for it. That's the only way to ensure a reply.:beer:0 -

hi, additions/ very/ndr rang today asking about my account, if i go to cab and obtain a ref number and ring back they may be able to freeze interest on my account, i went to cab last week and thay told me they dont give ref numbers out and to write a letter to the catalogue asking them to freeze interest to which i did, and they didn,t reply, surprise surprise , the woman on the phone today said they wont pester me with phone calls as long as i go back to cab and obtain this so called ref number , i,m getting more confused by the day! !!0

I guess they may take a letter from CAB more seriously than one from you or me, as we could say we can't afford it when we can. CAB have a reputation, and will play fairly, so maybe that's why. Don't give your CAB number to NDR, I don't think the debt charities like them having it, but no idea why
CCA request is also the way to go, as if they don't have one, they lose the CCJ threat:beer:0 -
hi, its a little weird really, cos that fella i rang the other night supposedly from ndr asked for this ref number, he didn,t believe me when i said they said they don,t give ref numbers out, then this woman who rang today again said that the cab do give ref numbers out! so sumbodys got their facts wrong, i,ve sent today for the credit agreement so i,ll see what happens then, aswell as going back to the cab!0

I only know this as I filled out an enquiry on the national debtline website and they said don't give it out. I guess they all work the same way.
Good luck:beer:0
