Deliveroo issues

Please be careful using this company, if fraudulent activity happens on your account, they will reliquish any responsibility. Bin them, cancel card and walk away please. Has anyone else had problems recently with fraud transactions with deliveroo?

Deliveroo has six million UK customers, it is unsurprising that some accounts get compromised, it would be insane if we all stopped using a company because one person claimed to have issues with them.
If you are having transactions take place on your account which were not by you then the most likely cause of that is someone has your password, most likely because you have not adequately protected it. It would be odd, as you could see where the food was delivered by logging into your account.1 -
Sorry matt, I had no notification of anyone using my deliveroo account just using my bank details to pay for whoever's transactions. Thanks0

Do you mean that someone has used your debit card details without authorisation, rather than someone has used your Deliveroo account?1

I do not work for Deliveroo, I just happen to live in the real world. Fraud happens, people gain access to card details in multiple ways, hacking, malware, phishing, idiocy, etc.
You need to report it to both your card provider and Action Fraud (the police). Your card provider will cancel your existing card and issue you with a new card as someone else obviously has your card details. You will get your money back and the police may or may not investigate.

You are not being clear. Your OP says "bin them (presumably Deliveroo) and cancel card (presumably your bank card)". That suggests you have a Deliveroo account and your card has been used to pay Deliveroo for something you did not order (on more than one occasion). If you do not have a Deliveroo account, someone who does is using the details of your card to pay for their food. As I neither work for Deliveroo, nor order food from them or any other food delivery service, I don't know the practicalities of how people pay Deliveroo, but if it is like a lot of internet services, someone has had to input your card details to set up the payments. That is not something Deliveroo has done.

How do you know no one else has access to your details? That’s why it’s called fraud.I don’t see the relevance to Covid 19 either so why post here?Another troll eh?1

The company needs to sort out their IT security not fob it off to a card provider. I also live in the real world, why don't they send a security code or go to pay Pal transactions when the customer knows you will get your fraud payments back without the total agro you will have.-1

Your card details have been compromised, that is not the fault of any service provider. From the information you have provided they have been used with Deliveroo, it is highly likely that they have been used in other ways which might take a little longer to show on a statement.
Their "IT security" does not appear to be at fault as they were not hacked, the issue seems to be that either you allowed your card details to be compromised or that a different company you used comprised your card details, a criminal has then obtained them and used them for their own gain.
Deliveroo does not have your contact details to send a security code to if you do not have an account with them. They do accept PayPal but it would also be incredibly inconvenient for the vast majority of people if they did not accept card payments.
You do not seem to live in the real world because you do not have an understanding of the systems banks or companies use. Fraud happens, it is unfortunate, however the only ones to lose out in this process will be Deliveroo. You will be refunded, the fraudsters got free food and Deliveroo will have the transactions reversed, meaning they get no money from the bank.1 -
