Returning to work

at the end of March I was put on furlough , Since then I have applied for new jobs and current in process of waiting to start a new job ..... I’m not sure what to do about resigning do I tell my work or wait until the end of furlough is there any flaws about resigning while on furlough I would be due back to work either the 1st or second week of November my boss had said but on reduced hours ??? Any help appreciated

Do you have a definite start date for your new job? If so, what's the notice period in your current job - work from that.

I have been there 14 years. We were told 1st or 2nd  week of November .... I’m in a flexible contact also and they have been capping my holidays at 25 hours even tho majority of the weeks I was doing a lot more

It depends whether the extra hours are overtime which you are free to decline, or if they are compulsory and / or regular.
