Surely you just use common sense, given this kind of thing is impossible, and highly unlikely, to be enforced

I mean we've already been waiting since March and it doesn't look like there's going to be a change any time soon. I'm disabled and housebound so not able to leave my home anyway. The plan would be for him to come and stay here for a couple of months.
I would say if you both live alone and he is able to fly to UK  then don't see any reason why he can't be in your 'bubble'  Is anyone actually checking who is in what bubble?   It is all about curtailing the virus so if your friend has a test, is able to fly to UK  I can't see any reason he can't stay with you and self isolate for the required period.  Sounds like a good plan Diamandis.   Obviously nobody knows exactly which way things may go in future.

Depends on the rules where you live. I know in a tier 2 area of England, you are not allowed to have visitors inside your home. Not sure if parts of Scotland also have that rule.
All of Scotland has the rule that you can't have someone in your house from another household.
Indeed, and everyone up here follows that to the letter  ;)

Everyone I know does. Each of us is responsible for ourselves.
Lost my soulmate so life is empty.

I can bear pain myself, he said softly, but I couldna bear yours. That would take more strength than I have -

Perhaps that's what they tell you, but you are not with everyone you know 24 Hours a Day ?

Next you'll be telling us no one you know breaks the speed limit - equally implausible.
