Hi Guys
Due to my limited credit history I applied for my first credit card last year (Barclaycard Forward) and was accepted with a small limit of 200 which has since risen to 650.
A short time after I was accepted for a capital one classic (£200) Vanquis (250) and an aqua (300)
I just applied for an MBNA dual offer card and was accepted with a £1000 limit so at this point im wondering whether I should close any of the others down. What do you all think?? I am trying to build a strong credit history but not sure whether having 'too many cards' will be detrimental.
Thanks

Keep them open. You don't have very many and your limits are all very low.1

Now instead of focusing on getting more cards - spend some time trying to get the limits up. With limits this low, use at least one of the cards each month continuously to around 75 percent of the limit, and then pay it off in full by direct debit (I hope you are always clearing them in full each month and not holding a balance?). Several months of regular use and regular payments usually results in a limit increase (assuming there are no new hidden nasties lurking in your credit history!). Once a limit is raised on one card, stop using it, and start using the next low limit one, and repeat the process.0
