Anyone prepared to hazard a guess as to what would happen to flights if the rumoured 2-3 week circuit breaker is deployed?
Personally i would think flights would still be allowed on the basis that most people will be required to quarantine for 14 days on arrival into the UK. But if anyone has heard contrary on the rumour mill, i would be interested in finding out

Well it wont be on the same level as the last one I suspect, so I suspect travel would be allowed, in England anyway.

Just do what you like as long as you can find some justification for doing it.
Seems to be what the majority are doing now

Given the direction of the UK numbers, it seems to me that restrictions imposed by other countries on arrivals from the UK are more likely to be a constraint than anything at this end....

National circuit breaker to be effective would need to result in a more or less a total shutdown. Closed borders except for essential movement. Australian style. Around Xmas would make more sense when much is closed anyway.

Even at the moment, anyone obliged to isolate can legally break the isolation o leave the country, I can’t see that changing.

I don't think it would be worth changing.

If someone with no symptoms comes in from a business trip, works from home for a week and then leaves on another business trip, this is in the best interests of everyone and is minimising risk to everyone.

That sort of situation is quite common at the moment, and on a fine balance between the economy and health, I think it's acceptable, especially as most aircraft I've been on since June have been relatively empty anyway.

Well as things stand Sweden is the only European country everyone from the UK can visit without having to pay for a test or having to self-isolate.  Most of Greece is also available to those living in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with all but one of the Greek Islands available for Scotland.  Germany is only still available to Southerners.

On the form you fill in for return to the UK you now have to declare whether you intend to leave the UK within 14 days of your arrival.
