Currency Cards and Non-use charges

Options
Just managed to contact Travalex and cancel my card (Mastercard MultiCurrency)
Not travelling for now - not keen to pay a 'hidden' 2 pounds/month non-use fee - have realised that I been doing so for several months.
Beware these cards - hard to access the accounts, hard to 'cancel' (not possible on line) and there are these charges for non-use!
Will not be getting another one.

We have a Caxton FX card - realised recently that a monthly inactivity fee would soon be applicable due to our being unable to travel abroad this year.
I contacted them by email, they were very quick and helpful advising how to avoid the £2 per month.
Basically three options which will allow the card to remain open
    1. Reduce the balance to zero by a purchase.
    2. Reload the card (no thanks).
    3. Change the type of currency loaded, which I did, from Euro to Sterling.
I can't comment on Travelex - but Caxton was easy to access online.
