Bensons for Beds-Can I claim money?

I wonder if anybody can help me or give some advice as I feel like I’m banging my head Against brick wall!

Background-ordered ottoman bed, mattress and headboard beginning of July. Told delivery would be 18th Sept. On 4th Sept I got email to say delivery had been changed to 12 Oct. Eventually got through to customer services and they advised that I could order a blow up bed-give receipt and they would refund me-as yet I still have no money back. They also said they would give me gesture of goodwill for the inconvenience. On 9 October received a call saying that my order wasn’t complete and wouldn’t be arriving on the Monday! This was the final straw-went to shop and spoke to manager-was given 2 options receive 2/3 items (not bed base) or get money back. Obviously I wanted my money back as this has been going on too long now and I’m seriously fed up with it. 

This was on Friday-now Monday eve and still no sign of the money for bed or air mattress/compensation. Have tried contacting bensons and have been told I will not get any money as a gesture of goodwill as I cancelled order. I took 2 days off of work for the deliveries as well as spending a day trying to sort it all out! Seriously fed up with it-affecting mental health as well as my back!!!

Write to them, setting out the timeline, what was promised when and include copies of your original order documents and the receipt for the air bed.  Remind them of their offer.  If they don't meet what they've offered, take them to small claims court for any money you've paid but not yet received back and the cost of the air bed.  The compensation isn't a quantified loss, so you can't really claim for that.
