Two cars to one

We have Volvo C30 diesel for longer drives and A class petrol as a run about.  Their different qualities complemented each other.  Now intending to have one car as 2 not needed and draining money.  The Volvo cabin is marvellous.
Thinking about selling them and buying car which comes close to Volvo comfort but is less expensive to buy and run.  Budget approx 10 thousand.  Priorities comfort, safety and good to drive.  Prefer pre 2015 to avoid new features such as stop start.  Grateful for any suggestions.

Makes no sense to sell and buy to "save" money. Keep one of your current cars.

  • My first post on the site and delighted by the response.  It has been prompt, courteous and very helpful.  The suggestions and advice are excellent.
It worked well using different cars for different types of motoring.  Volvo now needs money on repairs so considering getting rid ( without concealing faults ).  A class not as good for longer journeys.  So looking for a car which is good for a variety of motoring.
Very pleased to have found this site.

If you like the Volvo cabin then I would stick with the marque and go for a suitably spec'd V40.

    Have you misread that?
