But you get lots of condensation and you need lots of ventilation
Never under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers

Calor gas fires:  The room heater type: The bottled gas they use is Butane in 15kg cylinders.  https://appliances.calor.co.uk/
List price of a cylinder is £41.75.  Each kg of Butane will supply 13.7kWh, so 15 * 13.7 = 205.5 kWh per cylinder.
    4175 pence / 200.5 = 20.82 pence per kWh.
So more expensive than most electricity contracts.

Naturally the numbers change a bit for larger Calor propane cylinder sizes outside, or bulk LPG in a static caravan or home setting with a different fire type.

Their gas and electricity prices now bear little relation to reality: I'm paying less than half the kWh rate for gas and about 70% of the electricity kWh rate.
No idea about the other fuels, but it shouldn't be relied upon today.

I did state ROUGH guide.  I see, today, the site was Last Updated on Saturday, 08 June 2019  So accept I should have mentioned that as a caveat (had I spotted it yesterday)  ;)

You seem very confused about your gas 50% or 70% it can't be both  >:)
