I don't think Atonement should have won! my dd has still never forgiven me for taking her to see it, she says it was 2 hrs of her life wasted!
and quoia Re: your comments on Hitch hikers- whole heartedly agree what a pile of pants the re-make was!
Did anyone see the news this morning that Roy Schneider has passed away following a battle with cancer- thought he was a great actor, who had the sense not to be in 'JAWS the revenge'Duct tape is like the force. It has a light side, a dark side, and it holds the world together."

:A Terrible! I refuse to buy a TV because I think the license is absurd! So I rely on the e-newspapers but I'm still a bit groggy from Sat and I haven't read any and I didn't know Roy Scheneider had gone too...I read comments on this thread about somebody dying but I thought it was still H Ledger. Oh! my God! he was fantastic, remember All that Jazz. it was fab so swish, so smooth, silky...! I am only thinking that we are coming up to end of a great era, lucky for us I think some of the new actors and actresses are really into something, for example the boy from When did you last see your father? His name escapes me but I thought he was delightful and the girl: Cassidy, I think her name is, fab. Also the boy from Across the Universe ( sorry, I loved that film:grinheart  ) the girl too but she is getting into some dark business and I 'm horribly expecting the worst. But nevertheless we have some movement coming round the corner let's hope it happens in glory!:AThanks to those who help us to win !0

Preview of great thriller which the critics are loving!
A chance to see this film before it opens in cinemas on 29th February!
THE BANK JOB is a highly-charged British thriller based on true events, starring Jason Statham and Saffron Burrows. In London 1971, thieves tunnelled into the vault of a bank in Baker Street and looted safe deposit boxes of cash and jewellery worth millions and millions of pounds. None of it was recovered. Nobody was ever arrested. The robbery made headlines for a few days and then disappeared - the result of a UK Government 'D' Notice, gagging the press. This film reveals what was hidden in those boxes. The story involves murder, corruption and a sex scandal with links to the Royal Family - a story in which the thieves were the most innocent people involved.

Hi all,
Now I know this is a discussion thread, not a free tickets thread, but someone recently posted a notice just like this over on the codes only thread and then got 3 days of abuse so....you lucky people can benefit!
I have 2 x FREE tickets for new comedy Be Kind Rewind (cert 12A) at 18:00 for 18:30 on Wednesday 13th February 2008 at Cineworld Wandsworth, Southside Shopping Centre, SW18 4TF.
However, something has come up and now I can't go so do any of you want these two tickets?
The tickets will have to be collected from me in person as they are paper, not email tickets, so you need to be in London. First person to private message me wins!
Film info: In Be Kind Rewind Jerry (Jack Black) becomes magnetized while trying to sabotage the power plant that he believes is melting his brain and accidentally erases all the tapes in the old-fashioned video store where his best friend Mike (Mos Def) works.
To keep the few customers happy, Jerry and Mike decide to remake one of the erased movies in Jerry’s junkyard. To their astonishment, their unique version of the movie is a hit. Mike, Jerry, and soon, friends from the neighbourhood are in full-time production, re-making movies, from Ghostbusters to King Kong, and in the end revitalize not only the business, but the entire community.0 -

Hi Beate. We already have tickets for tonight's 'The Bucket List' at the o2. Otherwise we'd be interested. We've got email confirmation to see 'The Bank Job' on the 26/2.
I got details of free parking at the o2. You can find my thread on this forum.

about people posting random shizzle on the codes board. I find it almost as annoying when people reply and say something like 'please don't post here.' Is it possible for people to pm or email the person responsible... that's what i do and find it a much better solution to posting another post which shouldn't be there.0
