Free Cinema Tickets - Discussion thread

I tried this voucher today at Didsbury cineworld having looked up their website and found times for showing Juno. They refused to let us have free tickets telling me there is only one qualifying showing on offer (this wednesday afternoon). Today the only one on the list that was free was Atonement, and only at 4pm.
Since there seems to be nothing in the small print, or on the cineworld website, about this I tried to argue the toss with the manager (much to my teenage daughter's embarrassment). He insisted "this is a head office decision" and I ended up paying £11.50 for two tickets much to my annoyance.
BEWARE check with each cinema individually before hand.

We went to cineworld tonight and saw Control (Ian Curtis and his life) 4 of us for free with this offera nd it was excellent.
The trick with the telegraph/orange ones is to take the coupon/s in well in advance and ask which days they have for the films you prefer. They give you proper tickets then for normal screenings. Good luck next time. Thanks to op for this one well enjoyed by us all.0 -
I'v waited ages to post this, but finally feel the need.... it may be infuriating for subscribers of this thread when the new comers on the site post discusion on this thread, but definately more infuriating are the posts that follow saying not to (which is why i've refrained for so long in posting this) can't we just let it go and let them learn the forum, for every irrelevant post there are usually 2 or more to tell them off, just leave it ..... that in itself will reduce the amount of log in disappointment to subscribers of the thread.0

:AI am having a dreadful crisis right now but for once not about cinema tickets. I know you'd go anywhere in London, but what is your preferred cinema, just in case I fall over a code before you do?
Anything but Wandsworth because it far too far for me unless is a weekend at 2.00 pm.
Finchley O2 the best, the rest are ok too.
Thanks guys!:T :AThanks to those who help us to win !0 -
From the makers of Notting Hill and Love Actually, we have special previews of Definitely, Maybe!

As Maya attempts to figure out which of the women became her mother she begins to understand the complexity of love and Will realises that it's never too late to go back.
