Courtesy of the ICA cinema, we are giving away 2 tickets to attend the closing night film HOTEL VERY WELCOME with a Director & Actor Q&A after.
The fourth Birds Eye View Film Festival: a week of inspiration and celebration, with over 70 events at London's leading cinema venues. Each year we showcase the very best in new features, documentaries and short films from women filmmakers from across the globe, alongside premiere screenings, special multi-media events, Q&As, panel discussions and parties.
Screening introduced by Sonja Heiss and Hotel Very Welcome star Chris O'Dowd (the IT crowd) with exclusive Q&A
Winner of the Dialogue en Perspective Special Mention at the Berlin Film Festival 2007, Sonja Heiss’ first feature is a funny and brilliant docu-style portrayal of 5 Westerners travelling across the well-trodden paths of Asia. Co-starring Brit comedy actor Chris O’Dowd as the chaotic Liam; gone AWOL in Goa to escape impending fatherhood back in Ireland. Two other Brits - Josh and Adam - amuse with sappy fall-outs in Thailand, German yoga-retreatist Marion reflects on life and relationships and Svenja attempts to escape her Bangkok hotel room. Hotel Very Welcome tests the finding yourself shibboleth with hilarious precision"
Born in 1976. Sonja Heiss studied at the Academy for Television and Film, Munich from 1998 until 2006. During her studies she directed the short films "Schnell und Sauber" (1999), "Karma Cowboy" (2002) and "Christina Without" (2004), ‘Hotel Very Welcome is her first feature film.

Hi Guys,
I know its been said before but please please please only use the code thread for codes. Whilst it doesn't p*** me off too much it is annoying to keep checking and finding no codes. My poor sister also subscribes to instant alert and because she is not always near a computer gets a message sent to her mobile from hotmail saying she has a new email from one of her contacts. Obviously her mobile provider charges her for this and whilst it is only 10p per message it is a shame to see her time and money wasted by silly comments being made on the wrong thread.
One or two may be acceptable but continually is a bit much!!!
Rant over now and I can go back to sensibly reading the proper discussions!!:j Member Number 18 of the "100 free films in London in 2010" club:hello:0 -

Hi Guys,
Just being cheeky with this one but thought I would ask anyway. I am off for the week-end and notice that the nice airline I am flying with are showing "Margot at the Wedding". As I missed out on the preview tickets, can I include this in my film numbers or does the fact that it is not a preview and I have paid for my airfare mean I am being just too bloody cheeky to be taken seriously!!!:j Member Number 18 of the "100 free films in London in 2010" club:hello:0 -
