I don't understand the subscribing to mobile alerts...we lost our internet connection at work for about 4-5 weeks at the beginning of the year and checking morning and evening I don't think I missed out. If you can't get to a computer, you can't get to a computer, being told by text doesn't help does it?
She doesn't have a home computer and therefore has to use the one at work (sneakily because she is not meant to) or a library one at lunchtime etc. Therefore without alerts she may leave internet access for a couple of days. I do try to keep her advised......
The point I was trying to make was that for some it is not just a simple email notification and really there should not be a need for endless discussions on the subject as it is a simple process to work i.e. one thread purely for codes and one purely for discussion. Its not really rocket science is it!!:j Member Number 18 of the "100 free films in London in 2010" club:hello:0 -

one bunch of people learn not to post chat and then a whole new crop appears! :wall:
The only thing I could see working is if the mods locked the thread and you have to 'submit' your code for them to post. They could also make this thread a sticky next to the code thread which could help.0 -

If we had to wait for a board guide to post the codes, we could lose out on lots of screenings if they're not online at the time of someone finding a code. Also I think people would just post the codes on the freebie board.
Love the idea of the chat being made a sticky though

Unfortunately I don't think the chat is ever likely to end

I guess we will all have to keep throwing our hands in the air and accept that this may be a bug bear we have to live with. Let's hope some new codes start to appear and then everyone will be too happy to moan about discussions on the wrong thread!!
My daughter asked me for a code for "Step Up 2" - I think sometimes she thinks I can just make the codes up for any film she wants to see!! Maybe in an ideal world...........:j Member Number 18 of the "100 free films in London in 2010" club:hello:0 -

I think someone already suggest the sticky chat thread.0 -
yeah friends of mine are asking me 'how come you can't get codes for resident evil 3?' and i say
1) because i wouldn't if i could!
2) because they wouldn't benefit much from giving free screenings of franchise filmsHaikus are easy
But sometimes they don't make sense
