I just gambled £1000 in the space of 2 minutes. I'm so sick. My expenses are more than what I earn and I don't know what to do. I'm in trouble. My MOT was £600 this month and I tried to win it. I've had a terrible month and reversed everything. I think I'm now in a worse position that I've ever been.

I'm really worried now I don't earn enough for my bills. She wants £210 a month from me and my cards are £410. The interest on these are coming up and I'm worried sick. It's going to be a terrible reading on the 30th.

Please seek help, as a fellow addicted gambler there is support out there you just need to seek it. Go onto the gamblers anonymous website and find your nearest meet. It's not as daunting as it sounds I promise. Get the recovery under way immediately.

Ive made a budget and a snowball plan. If I "match bet" which I will get into at end of month and really spend little, I can be okay.... I need to repay £800 a month in cards.

Anyone got advise on this where I can cut some spending? I've given myself £400 a month on everything variable.

I don't think matched betting is a good idea when you've got issues gambling. Please consider seeking gambling help.

You said your cards are £410 so repay that and don't try and match bet.  Gambling addicts shouldn't try to make money gambling. You just tried that for your MOT bill and it didn't work as you say you lost £1k so better to cut your expenses and look for say a job delivering pizza, cleaning, in a shop etc that you can do around your existing work.

That final column "interest" looks wrong to me. Can't be zero surely when you're carrying balances on non-0% credit cards?

I'd forget about the matched betting. It's certainly not for you if you have a gambling problem. Plus you need a reasonable amount of capital to do it.

Done it for years started with 90 quid and got me my house. The interest is correct they're all 0% for periods.
