No problem my advice was to look at the instruction book and set Wi Fi to off?
Obviously I did not posses the information you required.

    Sorry about that LOL  :s
No problem, your apology is accepted! After all, if you'd bothered to specify the correct section, 'Basic Settings' instead of pointing me to the Incorrect section 'Home Connect' perhaps this thread might have been shorter!

There some strange posts here. We all have gadgets with functionality we don't need or have use for, I have a 3D TV for example that I've never felt the need to use the functionality but I bought it because it was the best TV I wanted at the time. The OP may not want to use the wifi functionality but he does want a Bosch appliance and it just happens that the only models that suit their needs happen to have this.
    Exactly.

Thankyou. But to be honest if you had bothered to read the instruction book / manual to start with. The thread would have much shorter, in fact non existent? But people try to help and give advice especially to others who cannot be bothered.

Good luck with your purchase, feel free to come back for any further advice on your dishwasher etc.

You load the dishwasher after dinner, put a tablet in, set it off, by pressing the buttons on the front. I can't see why you'd need wifi for that. If I then set a 45 minute wash - it's going to be ready in 45 minutes. I don't need it to tell me it's done as I have the capacity to work out when 45 minutes is from when I press the button. Am I being daft in wondering why you're even need wifi on a dishwasher? (And as for the question - I'm not sure why you're looking for a wifi dishwasher if you don't want to enable wifi in the first place?)
Maybe you are on the Octopus Agile electric tariff and you have programmed your Raspberry Pi to switch the dishwasher on when the price goes negative at 3am. Maybe you have solar panels and want to use the electricity you are generating in the day while you are out.

You don't *need* wifi. You don't *need* a dishwasher. It's about convenience and adapting to the changing world we live in.
Good points about the energy tariffs and timings - I can see there’d be a use there - it’s always good to explore why we need something - I couldn’t think of a reason - but now I’ve got one - but still won’t buy a wifi dishwasher 😂 and if the op would like a Bosch and they all come with it - then not much choice really - you either get it with - or buy a different brand.

...or to come full circle, you ask for advice on how to switch the WiFi off!

I won't be buying a wifi dishwasher either. Largely because I have a perfectly good non-wifi dishwasher already which I picked up for £80 on Gumtree. As I work from home I can easily switch it on manually when solar generation is sufficient.

Don't mention it. Perhaps you misread my question, i did read the manual, and missed the relevant part. Unfortunately it would appear that you couldn't read it properly either!
Oh, and while i didn't bother commenting at the time, your apparent knowlegde of Wi-Fi is sadly lacking.

No need for WiFi to achieve this. Most dishwashers i have looked have a delay timer.
Also, as neilmlc has already pointed out, the WiFi can be turned off, do any of you people actually read the posts? Strange.

LOL. No problem  Your question was perhaps a bit vague? And you did not state the actual model number? That you failed to give in your OP.

    "Wobbly_Bob
Hi. Does anyone know if the 'Wifi' function (to connect to smartphone app etc) can be totally disabled on a Bosch dishwasher, as Wifi and my burglar alarm do not mix well."

Have now read your actual model numbers instructions that you hope to buy. That you at the time you failed to give. And I do accept you actually missed the glaring part of the instruction that was pretty obvious?

Instructions for Bosch to basically turn Wi Fi off.

Oh. I will attempt to help people in future. Advice is free here, it is up to the people that ask for advice to take suggestions on board or not.

But to then criticise some one that is trying to help is really shameful.

Wobbly_Bob  "My post was, and still is perfectly clear. Obviously you do not possess the information i require."
Good luck with 'Helping' people in the future! "Oh, and while i didn't bother commenting at the time, your apparent knowlegde of Wi-Fi is sadly lacking."

Perhaps, but at least I know how to spell knowledge. LOL.
    :D

Thank you but I did not state that?

    I stated :
"Good luck with your purchase, feel free to come back for any further advice on your dishwasher etc."

So do not worry about me. I do not need luck in helping people in future.

Some people appreciate any advice to help them and some do not?

Please do not bother to reply you have undoubtedly shown yourself worthy of being the first one ever on my Ignore list .  s

    neilmcl: Thankyou, i missed that.
likearubberball You are curious? Then i shall enlighten you. I like Bosch products. I'd like a 45cm Integrated dishwasher.
Are you trying to tell me that Bosch who make a plethora of appliances including dishwashers, don't sell a 45cm integrated dishwasher without WiFi?  We bought one (a Bosch) at the start of the year which doesn't have WiFi - or at least that wasn't a feature listed!

Look in the instruction book for home connect. Set wifi to off.

So, lets get this straight, you were giving me 'advice' on something, but you didn't actually know what. I say this, because later in the thread, you then criticize ME, for not supplying YOU with a specific model number!
Incredible! Would it not have been better to ask me the model number, you know, before spouting off? :)
I came here asking a simple question, to which a decent forumite provided a good clear answer, not you btw. All you have done is tell me to 'Look in the instruction book'. And when i point out that is not helpful, you arrogantly tell me that if i don't set up WiFi, it won't be 'enabled' anyway. Which of course is not helpful either, and is not even pertinent to the question asked.
You then go on to make several what can only be descirbed as ridiculous comments, relating to what you 'think' you know about WiFi, but again sadly, not pertinent to the original question.
Despite these clear failings, all you have done since, is continually whine about how you were right all along.
At this point i have to consider the possibilty that you are in fact just a troll.
Feel free to formulate another load of codswallop for me to read :)
Also, please can you spellcheck ALL my posts in future, because honestly, i really don't think it's pedantic at all!
