Disable Wifi on a Bosch Dishwasher?

Hi. Does anyone know if the 'Wifi' function (to connect to smartphone app etc) can be totally disabled on a Bosch dishwasher, as Wifi and my burglar alarm do not mix well.

Look in the instruction book for home connect. Set wifi to off.

I've never heard of WiFi causing an issue with I'm assuming a wireless burglar alarm , wireless alarms run on either 433mhz or 868mhz , WiFi which runs on either 2.4ghz or 5ghz should not interfere. If it could then that would be a dead simple way for a burglar to block the signal to the bell box rendering your alarm useless

Can you expand more on this?

Hasbeen, i looked in the online booklet, and it does have an option to diable 'remote start' but i can't see anything to specifically disable 'wifi'.
To be clear, i haven't bought this dishwasher yet, the Wifi thing is putting me off. If it can't be disabled, i will just buy another make.

Which model(s) are you looking at because I picked on at random with the Home Connect functionality and it's clear in the user manual you have the option to switch off wifi in the settings.

In this video, Step 5 shows how to "Activate Home Connect on your appliance" by holding a button for 3 seconds, so it must initially be OFF.

Unless you live a long way from any neighbours it is really the burglar alarm issue that needs addressing!

You can't control what WiFi devices are used in nearby houses so if it is an issue they must surely cause problems too?

Wifi on a dishwasher........why would you need it
All sorts of appliances are now available with wifi, including kettles.  Can anybody really be so desperate for a cuppa when they get home that they'd rather pay upward of £100 than wait a couple of minutes for the thing to boil when they switch it on?

It can be disabled. But if you buy the dishwasher and do not set the Wi Fi up you will not have to disable it. because it will not be enabled?

Your post was unclear? Wi Fi and burglar alarms are on different frequencies anyway.

How does Wi Fi interfere with your alarm?

Thorganby: Not necessarily. To me, 'activating' a connection is not the same as 'disabling Wifi'.
Hasbeen: My post was, and still is perfectly clear. Obviously you do not possess the information i require.
