It was bought in ASDA, so they didnt know the answer to my question

Your TV is not 55" it's a 50" model. It doesn't have the Play store. It uses Aquos Net+ for it's smart TV function. The nearest thing it has to Play anything is 'Freeplay' and 'Play TV'
If you want anything else you need a dongle with what you want on it.

Ok thanks for your help. I must have got confused with the Play TV logio and Play store.
