Hi,
Just recently bought a Sharp Smart TV in ASDA 55inch.
If I try and download apps on it via play store it crashes the whole TV after it tries to install the app but doesn't say why or anything, so then I have to factory reset the TV just to get it working again.
The app was just a cbeebies app for my child to watch that was all.
Any ideas will be appreciated.

I'm wondering if the tv doesnt have enough storage space or something which doesn't make much sense I know given its promoting play store on the box.
Would I need to add some space via a usb key, as it has quite a few usb ports. 3 I think without looking.0 -
Oh by the way the app we tried installing works fine on my childs samson tablet. So its nothing harmful to the tv or shouldn't be.0

Can you connect it to PC, and via some software detect logs of these errors?0

Its basically a cbeebies app for children to play activities and games etc via the app. We just thought it would be handy having it on the big screen and so she didnt have to use the tablet all the time.
But by trying to install it has flagged up or highlighted to me would other apps crash the tv again?

Certain apps are not designed for TVs and will only work on smartphones or tablets.https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/grownups/faqs#apps seems to suggest the apps are designed for tablets or phones, and that if they work on a TV at all it'll be purely by luck rather than anything else.1
