  • The front plate thing on the dash is because they think it looks cool/mean.
    Just like driving around in beautiful glorious sunshine with your front fogs on. 

    They haven't accepted that it makes them look like an absolute clown. Give them time. They may one day realise. 
    Its up there with the lexarse lights for me. 
    Just curious but what are lexarse lights?

    I do do wonder why the Police don’t pick up on a lot of these illegal transgressions- it must surely be self funding if not providing a good profit for the force.

    It wouldn't do either, as any fines and fixed penalties go to the Treasury.

    Lots of flash motors in my area have removed the front plate altogether.
    They just stick it on the dashboard.
    The 'in thing' ???

    Gosh - I did that in 1989.  On my 1978 Vauxhall Chevette,  Because one of the screws holding it in had worked loose and I couldn't be bothered to fix it for ages...

    I would have guessed it was some attempt to fool speed or ANPR cameras?
    I need to think of something new here...
