Is it worth paying a CCJ so it shows as `satisfied' even though it still gives a bad credit history?

I still remember having phones slammed down on me when I was ringing around chasing after a property to rent, because my CCJ was not fully paid off at the time (I was paying it by instalments).
To answer your question, yes, get it paid off or head to the parking board and read the sticky notes on what to do to try and get it set aside.Mortgage started 2020, aiming to clear 31/12/2029.1 -
I'm suprised by the animosity from posters here, quite a few private landlords with chips on their shoulder here?greatcrested said:This has to be a wind up surely?edit: OP says here it is £197 but does not know what for.And says here she had an unpaid Virgin fee that was registered as a default.I'm guessing most landlords would be pleased to know in advance that this prospective tenant is a risk.....
Or a bunch of saints who have never had a parking ticket that was unfair?1 -

Or a bunch of saints who have never had a parking ticket that was unfair?Yes I've had a ticket that was unfair. I contested it.But if it gets to the point where a court has found against you, then the 'unfairness' is questionable. True, courts do sometimes get things wrong - it's not a perfect world - but ignoring a court decision just leads to .... well, further problems such as you are now concerned about.

I feel you are confusing not liking what people are saying with rudeness. Not sure how you made the jump to private landlords or members having chips on their shoulders.MissPixie2020 said:

Don't let an overdue parking ticket be what prevents you from moving onto the next stage of your life, pay it off and move onGather ye rosebuds while ye may1 -
A potential creditor doesn't know or perhaps even care whether the parking ticket was fair. They just see someone who doesn't settle their debts.MissPixie2020 said:
