Entry to Australia is currently prohibited unless you have an exemption. There is a requirement for 14 days self isolation on arrival - that would be in a hotel obviously and there is mention of fees.Is your journey really necessary ?No doubt there will be strict crowd size limitations at the venue as well.

flights for November 2021 will not be released until the end of the year
whether the ashes will go ahead nobody knows at this point in time
when you start to look, look direct at the airline and websites and pay very close attention to the fare rules and cancellation fees. The cheapest fares are usually non-refundable.
If entry to Australia is open and the ashes cancelled, would you still plan to visit Adelaide? travel insurance unlikely to cover choosing not to travel as an event is cancelled so consider what you would get back if you chose not to travel.

I'd suggest that you just keep checking the prices. I've just taken a look at BA and they're booking up to 27 Sept 21 at the moment so I guess that November will pop up in a couple of months. As much as I'd love to spend some of the winter watching the Ashes I wouldn't personally look to book for next year as there are too many uncertainties but if you do go ahead I wish you well.0

You can't book until Aus lift the entry ban, even then the self isolation quarantine rule will still likely apply.Who fancies 14 nights stuck in a hotel room ?0

I also plan on visiting Australia end of next year. I will not be booking flights until April at the earliest as situation re vaccine should be clearer. IMO until a vaccine no spectator sports......0

What a coincidence - you asking about this on the day that Australia banned tourists until the END of 2021.derekdougan said:Id like to go to Adelaide in November 21 for the Ashes cricket. When is the best time i can book a flight please?

Do you know that is what the Australian approach is/will be?NoodleDoodleMan said:Who fancies 14 nights stuck in a hotel room ?
In Barbados there is a quarantine hotel and those there can use the pool, restaurant, sun decks etc. People from the UK with a negative test result thankfully don't have to go there but Tripadvisor is full of comments from american tourists (that have to go there even with a negative test result) saying what its like... very strict distancing rules, a lot of extra cleaning etc.
Personally wouldnt want to go on holiday to spend 2 weeks stuck in a hotel but thats what some people do even when not quarantining and is materially better than being stuck in a hotel room (which is what I had imagined it was).0 -
You should be able to book for next November in December this year0

"Do you know that is what the Australian approach is/will be?"No idea really. However from what a mate in Aus tells me they are very strict, and enforce whatever rules apply.0

In Barbados most the rules are fairly similar to here but it was slightly odd, and to date there have been no cases of transmission on the island (just people flying in already infected) , in that people look genuinely worried/will cross the street etc if they see an obvious tourist, rules are strictly applied and you wont come in if you arent wearing a mask but go to a bar (temp check, hand sanitized, face mask on or no entry) sit on a bar stool and then you can take the mask off and be shoulder to shoulder with everyone else sat at the bar and no one cares (until you want the loo etc at which point the mask must go back on)NoodleDoodleMan said:However from what a mate in Aus tells me they are very strict, and enforce whatever rules apply.0
