Wow you’ve really had a rough time. I really hope it works out for you this time. I lost 3 potential buyers and 3 purchases just over five years ago and we gave up in the end. Only now are we trying again and house about to go on the market. It’s a tough time with people losing jobs, mortgages being withdrawn etc so no doubt I’ll have these stresses to come0

Really feel for you. We are stressing enough over our two people chain with no chain at either end, I can’t even imagine dealing with all of that. Really hope you get a good buyer and things happen for you soon.1

Wow! that has been one hell of a year for you, and it isn't over yet. Best wishes0

House buying/selling is a nightmare! Good luck.We don't stop playing because we grow old; We grow old because we stop playing.0

I don't know anyone who is successfully managing to sell a house at present - everything keeps going well. A friend had their buyer pull out a day before completion and another has had 3 buyers pull out this year. Tearing your hair out time!0

Sell house. Rent for a bit. Buy when you find the right place.

Sell house. Rent for a bit. Buy when you find the right place. That's the usual excuse. We had 2 cats and 2 ferrets and we got the choice of 3 properties in 24hrs when we started looking in the last recession, having finally sold after 16 months to the 4th set of buyers.Of course, we might be extra-charismatic people, but I think it was probably the 1:1 contact with letting agents and lots of palm-crossing with silver that did it.....that and being willing to take the less wonderful stuff on their books, or go out of town to the countryside. We chose 'commodious,' stuck all our stuff in the double tandem garage and the 'impossible to heat' room above it, then enjoyed the single glazing, electric storage heaters and drips from holes in the roof. Spring arrived a few months later and it wasn't too bad; definitely easier than renovating the property we bought!
