G24 PCN Appeal Rejection

I still wouldn't have a clue of how to defend this position or have any confidence using legal jargon. You are so way ahead of yourself! Despite issuing hundreds and hundreds of thousands of tickets over many years, as records stand (to 2019), there is no record of G24 ever taking a single motorist to court. While there are no records yet for this year, anecdotally they have dipped their toe into the litigation puddle with a small number of cases, but I'd read very little into that. All you can do is see if they take your case any further, and deal with that scenario if it ever occurs.I have looked at the charge which was issued on 28th August (appealed approx 10 days later) and it is still at the discounted price of £60 rather than £100, which I think is odd but maybe I should cut my losses? While not doubting what you're saying, it is almost unheard of for the PCN not to revert to £100 once their original deadline for appealing has passed. I can almost guarantee that if you do pay £60, they'll recognise not having updated your record, and be straight back for the other £40. Obviously I can't see into the future to absolutely guarantee you anything, but it's your money and you need to do what you think best, weighing up the inputs and advice that have been made on your thread. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

If you pay £60 you will be placed on a 'mugs list' and pursued for £40. We can tell you that. It would be a stupid idea to pay.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I have read the newbie thread and variations of it and honestly, if this case went to court, I still wouldn't have a clue of how to defend this position or have any confidence using legal jargon. While I am aware there is a template I don't think "false admin costs" is relevant to my case. If you know of any other templates of better ways for me to make sense of this please let me know. I absolutely know the witness defence is valid and no violation of the contract ever occurred but would never know how this should be communicated in a formal written defence or if a judge would recognise it's validity. In the NEWBIE sticky (and this is apart from the New Standard defence Template) there are some other defences linked; would one of those be suitable if you don't think the standard one will suffice? The defence template is not designed to be a defence of itself, it is a template to which you ADD your specific defence points. It also has the effect of removing, hopefully, the additional £60 admin or debt control costs that PPCs or their solicitors like to add. There is also the remote possibility that a judge will throw out the whole case. In the defence template paragraphs 2 & 3 you put your case in legal and technical arguments. This should refute what the particulars of claim are stating; for example (and this is only an example) if it states you didn't buy a ticket, you say you did and have proof and then in your witness statement you tell the story of the event and you attach evidence, viz, the ticket. To find what others have put in their defence paragraphs 2 & 3 (and there are loads on the forum) just search for "overstay defence" (or similar words) using the forum search tool.2 -

The PCN has been issued in accordance with POFA, if that is what you mean? I have also read POFA to see if the charge can be upheldgo-on-then said:No you should not.
Have you checked the PCN against POFA ?0
